John Porzio - Volunteer of the Month
We are pleased to honor John Porzio as our Volunteer of the Month.
John joined the volunteer crew in our Clothing Bank at the perfect time, just as we were reorganizing our space and adapting to our expansion. John leaned in to the lifting and lugging with zeal. He even built our new shelving units!
How did you learn of TSS?
I found The Sharing Shelf volunteer opportunity on Volunteer New York.
What has been your volunteer role?I am the heavy lifting guru and I have been reorganizing the Clothing Bank to create new working and storage spaces.
What have you enjoyed most about your time volunteering?
The team atmosphere has made the most impact on me, everyone is working together, happy to be together working towards a common goal and laughing along the way.
What do you like to do outside of your volunteer work?
I play golf and enjoy being active and outdoors.
