Meet Sam Wallis, Executive Director of Yonkers Partners in Education (YPIE)

for our inaugural Brown Bag lunch.
Each month, we will introduce one of our partners who will talk about their program, the services they offer, and the community they serve.
On May 4, Sam Wallis will be on hand to talk about the impactful work of YPIE, which actively engages nearly 1,200 students from 9th grade through their second year of college. YPIE partners with students to ensure they are ready for, enroll in, and complete college. They confront the challenges of a low-income, urban school district by providing families with equitable access to the critical tools and services necessary for college success.
The Sharing Shelf held its first spring Teen Boutique at YPIE in Yonkers on April 15, 2023 and we had a chance to meet many teens in their program. These teens shared with us why Teen Boutique was important to them and the power of clothing choice. Hear from Sam about these teens, learn about their challenges, their successes, and ways in which you can engage in YPIE's work.
