Deborah Blatt

Executive Director

Deborah Blatt founded The Sharing Shelf as a volunteer in 2009. The concept for The Sharing Shelf grew out of her experience as parent in a mixed-income school district.

Assistant Director

Kathy arrived at The Sharing Shelf in 2014 as a volunteer. She joined the program’s team in 2016 where she oversees all our clothing requests and distributions, Teen Boutique registration and our backpack distribution.



Director of Volunteers & Community Engagement

Jane oversees our volunteer program. She welcomes and trains new volunteers, supports regular volunteers and engages our home-based volunteers. She arrived at The Sharing Shelf in January 2021.


Jen has volunteered with The Sharing Shelf since 2014 and joined our team in December 2018. In her role, she helps coordinate and run after school and weekend volunteer opportunities.

Gerry Goldberg

Special Events Volunteer Coordinator

Gerry has been involved with The Sharing Shelf since its inception and formerly worked as Volunteer Coordinator for Family Services of Westchester. As a volunteer and Board member, she coordinates volunteers for Teen Boutique.

Embassy Cleaners in Larchmont for providing dry cleaning. Over the years, they have helped rescue hundreds of coats and other specialty items to benefit The Sharing Shelf.
